muffled sound
hey guys, have been looking around but cant find anyone with the same issue.. i installed a jvc head unit in my vs ute a few months back which seemed to go in okay and works fine except when my ipod is plugged in via usb and i have the music up around full volume. The sound is pretty good when the volume is low and stays fine when i turn it up for a bit, but then it just kinda goes muffled. the music continues playing but sounds strange. Just thought that it was strange that it is fine for a bit then all of a sudden goes stupid, probably something simple but i cant work it out, any ideas? speakers, unit..?

How old is that JVC head unit?
not very old at all, bought it late last year, its a jvc kd-r716.
