Hi guys,
Ive got myself 2 Pioneer 12" sub (TS-w303R) (4ohm) and i need a amp to run them both... im abit confused about the peak power and RMS and all that... I also have a tight budget of $250 inc. postage/shipping.
What would you guys recommend?... and if you dont know what should i be looking for in amps? like ohm wise, RMS wise and Peak output wise?
Thanks,
ignore PEAK go by rms and ohm, so 2 12" @ 4ohm each, you will probably want to look at a 2ohm amp preferably a mono block so there 250rms each so look for a 500rms @ 2ohm, something like the Rockford Fosgate R500-1 is a great amp for running 2 12's from my experience you can get it for 250 shpped from us
Thanks mate, I can get the Rockford Fosgate PRIME R500-1 for $200 delivered... gotta love the exchange rate at the moment haha... I just checked out your ride looks mint... o and btw when i wire the subs up do i wire them parallel or in a series coz im not entirely sure about that either
ohh yeah parallel is 2ohm, i think i got mine for 270 or something with a 4 gauge wiring kit, a while ago anyway GL with ur system
i know its been a while but i was just wondering if i was to get rid of one of the 12 " subs and just run with one what amp would you suggest i use?
Something that makes around 250Wrms at 4 ohm... Most brands have a 2 channel that will bridge to 1 channel to make that power, so take your pick.
you could just use that RF amp and put 320rms on it![]()
so its safe to put 320rms on it is it?
if your careful with the volume and know how to tune it right, then yes it is safe, better to give more than give less :P
