Ok guys and girls so I'm starting planning/building my boot install and I'm
Stuck between 2 ideas
Idea 1 sub is mounted in the back right corner aimed slightly up and forward in a custom box going along the side of the boot. With the amp mounted next to it
Or
Idea 2 sub is mounted behind the rear seats on the left hand side(putting one on the right in the future) and the amp/s mounted on the sides of the boot in the spot I've seen a lot of others mounted
Any ideas and opinions appreciated
since theres no comments il just comment,
what car is this?
Haha forgot that part lol it's in a vt sedan
And have ended up going with idea 2
ok kool, show us some pics when its done!
i put 2 subs in a custom box facing rearward then made a custom floor to hold the amps.
vp 3.8 lt lowered T70 turbo 38 mm wastegate running 14 psi making 253 rear wheel kw lsd 3.08 gears. tuned by delcowizard
Will do nic
And sv6mad I'm planning on doing a new floor with 2 trap doors next to each other so I can still access the spare tire
Also ended up getting a type of 16mm particle board not mdf as it was only $2 for more then what I'll use
Will take a while or the fully finished product but will show how the sub box and amp board turn out once they're done and when I can be bothered to get some vinyl and coat them I'll show the finished product
This is how it's looking so far also have the amp rack 90% finished to but to lazy to take pics of it
I hate to be a downer but there is a lot more to sub box building then just building up a literal box.... Do some research and you will see what I mean.
Welcome to the internet where people have opinions that you might not like
Please elaborate
Also this box is not designed specific for this sub but for the one I'm saving for
ohh, he means design, like if its sealed its gotta be the right cf' (cubic feet of air space)
Yeah I knew that
It's designed for a Rockford p3 as that's what I'm planning on getting when money allows the fusions only temporary
Yeah 15s aren't responsive enough for me and 10s are to punchy for my liking
.... And 18s take up to much space

Read up on the box design specs of the sub mate and work out the mathematics from there. It's not all about cone size also.

I've tried but can't find any for this sub as it was an ex demo and it came with no literature and it's be evading me on the net
Hence why I designed it to the specs for the Rockford P3. 12"
