Hi guys, first thread so go easy
Aiight, so I am going to wire up my new headunit on the weekend, and I've been looking through the forums for some help.
My JVC headunit has an Orange with White stripe wire which, according to the manual, is for the "car light control switch".
I bought a harness for the headunit and commodore (VY S/II S pack), however this wire is hanging off separately, along with the amp remote wire. I was just wondering, is this the wire I need to connect to the "Illumination - Brown/White" wire? What is the downfall of not connecting this wire? I read something about the circuit shorting?
What about the "Illumination OUTPUT - Grey"? What is it's purpose?
Thanks all in advance![]()
yeah thats the one, its for the dimmer, when you turn the lights on the head unit dims, idk if that jvc unit dims? connect it anyway
I think it does, the harness that came with the JVC headunit had the wire, so I assume it does dim. How about the Illumination output wire, do I need to connect that to anything? Or just attach the wire from the harness to the Brown/White Illumination wire?
Thanks
yeah just attach it to that, umm, i had a illumination wre on my single din deck and it never dimmed so yea but it was conencted
