    Default Building my sub box

    hey there guys

i've got a vr sedan and im in the process of panning the sound system
i've already got 2 Alpine type x 10" subs that run 500-1000 rms with peak of 3000
and ive just been out and priced up everything else, i now need to get someone to build or to build myself a sub box.

however im not looking to mount the subs parralel to one another, i pan to have them facing on a 90 degree angle to face inbetween the middel seat where it drops down.

does anybody knwo if there is a place in townsville qld that would make it, or does anyone have any tips on how to make one?

Well first off the subs will need a decent amount of wood around them to support the weight, so they won't be as close as your rough picture. Also are you planning on dual chambers or single chamber?

edit: it could be pretty simple to make yourself, make a box with no end lol, then just make a v out of wood so its like [ \ / ] and mount the subs i the middle (obviously not to scale :P but u get it yer?)

Wow Alpine recommend some small boxes for this sub, 0.5-1 cu.ft each sub. Reverse mount these puppies, will look so much better.

What do you mean 'to much ####ing around'? It easy as piss, put foam on front of sub, screw in, done.

if im gonna get them mounted where they can be seen they're not gonna fit, their big subs and the gap in the back seat isnt overly big.

Ah so your going to fit them around the fold-down centre seat, so people can see them from the cabin? Ok I understand.

yeah, want them to be seen but can hide them easily if i leave the car somewhere by putting the fold down back up, plus im guessing ill get a much better sound out of them if im not running them through a metal plate and a couple of inches of foam

the subs can be that close to each other, there's plenty of support there.
