Default Pioneer head unit into VZ HELP??

    Hey all,
tried to put a Pioneer DEH P6950IB head unit into my VZ. Having a few little problems wondering if any1 could help??
Ive connected it up and seemed to work but now every time i turn the car off and back on it starts the demo mode. Once i exit that i find none of the stations are remembered???
Also im not sure if its the wiring or the unit but the aerial doesn’t go down when i change to cd/ipod/aux???

    Any help/ideas would be awesome

    Cheers

Swap the red and yellow wires over on H/U. So red to yellow and yellow to red. As for aerial make sure pre-amp (blue) wire is connected to aerial. Can't really remember so maybe someone else can.
If that don't help try a forum search its bound to be on here somewhere...

Yeah, you have the red and yellow backwards which is making it forget its settings once you turn the ignition off.

Pioneer head units don't put the antenna down when on CD/iPod/USB/AUX/etc as the wire is also used to turn amplifiers on. Only some high end double DIN models have a separate ANTENNA and SYSTEM (for amplifiers) wire.

As said above, Pioneer's don't have an Aerial switch on them, but you've got to change the Red/Yellow around. I got the Aeropro kit and it was already switched for me. Vy commodore > ISO then ISO > Headunit (mine being sony)

It won't turn on at all without the constant 12v wire connected.
