Speakers F***ed up! please help

i have a sony headunit (came with the car VX S) today i got my parcelshelf speaker covers, was going to install them instead i ended up playing with my head unit, and what i have found is:
My parcelshelf sony 6 X 9's aren't working (they are wired through the amp)
When i set my speakers to only run passenger side they run drivers side, and vixe versa and the rear drivers side door thinks its the front passenger door.

My 6x9's are glued in is that normal?

And how do i take the carpet out of my parcelshelf?

Any ideas??

first things first is the amp powering on?
are the rca's connected and remotewire(wont power on wihout remote wire)

no they shouldnt be glued in

i wouldnt take the carpet off cos itll be ugly without it

cheers yeah there is power to the amp, sub is working fine, if i don't take the carpet out how do i take put in the speaker grills?

ur speaker wires r just around the wrong way on the amp (left output front and rear, right output front and rear), swap them over left to right and right to left and they should balance as they should.

assuming wen u say u set ur speakers 2 run such n such.... u mean via the head unit yeah?

yeah i had a mate took the headunit out a month ago must of put them back in wrong.
Will that cause the 6x9's to work again?

hang on so u got 6 speakers in ur car? all 4 doors and 6x9s? y do u have it set up like that? if u got no sub hook the 6x9's up 2 the amp off the rear channels(assuming u got a 4ch amp?) and they should run, hook up the 2 front speakers 2 the front channels and do away with the rear door speakers. they wont make it sounds any better or louder.

ive got, the standard door speakers and i have 2 sony 6x9's which are running into a an 1000 wat amp and i also have a sub running off that amp. the door speakers are running out of the headunit . and the 6x9's are are connected into the amp

ahh ok helps wen u got all the info haha wat model amp and head unit do u have? and is the sub runnin fine? assuming ur head units only got 1 pre out and thats wat the amp is runing off thats y its wired in such a way.

ok sounds like the wires 4 the doors speakers r around the wrong way as i suggested, just not from the amp but at the back of the head unit like u said.

but 2 get ur 6x9's runnin just need that info so i can see wat gear u got and how it can b run.

The headunit is sony xplod GT480U, Sony Xplod 6x9's and i got no idea about the amp but i got a pic

Is there a model number, or at least a brand name on the amp?

As for taking the parcel shelf carpet out, take the back seats off (the bottom, plus the two sides), you will see some screw-type things (just push in and pull out), remove them and carpet comes free. Leave the middle seatbelt in place and just slide the carpet over the sash, plenty of working room.

Maybe it's the way it's wired, because that amp puts out 300W per channel.

Also, as said above, right side and left side just change the RCA's in the back (if it's wires not plugs it'll be a bit more difficult)

So the amp turns on, doesn't go into protect or anything?

Than hook another speaker up to the amp, if it works than the 6x9" are rooted, if it doesn't than either the amp settings are wrong, or the connection to the H/U is wrong.

well i've got phreddy coming to do my dash on monday might ask him to have a quick look at the amp and the system. see what i thinks
