    Default VY Amp power

    Hi all,

I'm wondering whats the easiest way to get two 4 gauge runs through the fire wall on my VY SS? Don't particularly want to cutup the main power grommet if i can avoid it (plus it seems to be a void in between the two grommets? Is there a way to get back in from inside the guard?

I'm planning to run a sub on high levels off the rear speaker channels until i get a processor (still deciding between alpine h800 and audison bitone). Which i will most likely come to ozzie to get.

    Cheers
    Taylor

I've already got two 4 gauges because i had one running in my last car then when I put the second amp in just grabbed another one and ran it down next to the other one.

Initially i want to run one 4 gauge, since the factory system lacks bottom end, to get the sub going. Then I probably will just grab some 0 gauge and change it over.

There dont appear to be any spare factory grommets on the firewall that i can see, i'd rather go through the factory power grommet then drill a hole.

That was the grommet I was looking at. Quite tight to get at. Did you just slit it with a knife and push through? Was it hard to get from inside? I removed the aircon bit on the end and you can kinda see it but cant really get my hand in there. Cheers

umm, yeah easy just cut it with a sharp knife or something and slide teh wire thru, ohh

also it is much easier with a coat hanger to tape the wire to it so it can go easy thru the hole, mine was done with 8 gauge then 4 gauge then i did 0 so.. make the hole then poke it with a coat hanger
