hey guys just recently my 4 channel amp powering my door speakers starts cutting out then waiting a random amount of time then cuts back in again.
checked wiring and that all looks fine (havent touched anything and has worked for the last year) so im thinking the insides are going? i bought it second hand its a cadence 600W thing, pretty old.
would it be worth trying to take out the amp and see whats wrong? or how much for a decent 4 channel amp that i can replace it with?
cheers heaps

Sounds to me like it's going into thermal protection mode.

yeah i dont think me pulling it out will help anything, it cuts out for about 5-15 seconds, sometimes comes straight back, other times it crackles and goes in out in then its ok lol.
anouther question, i have anouther monoblock powering my subs, would it be worth saving up for one amp that can do both? itll save all the wiring problems and RCA noise i keep getting? or are the 5 channel amps not that good at doing both sub and normal speakers?
cheers

wen the amp cuts out is this while the car is running or idling? check ur alternator and battery is up 2 scratch, check ur inline fuse then go from there.
The RCA noise ur gettin do u have a pioneer head unit? if so could just b the internal fuse thats blown.
