    Default VX audio.. HELP NEEDED!!

    hey guys,
    recently bought a vx acclaim wagon and am looking to do up the system in it
    i've done this a few times but was just wondering if soemthing like this unit would fit?

    D2205 Eonon 6.95" Digital LCD Screen Car DVD Player n8 | eBay

    its a 6.95" screen with all the normal stuff attached
    also would the steering wheel controls take much to work with this thing?

    Yeah that would probably fit...youd need a fascia kit tho...you can get em from eBay as well..
    As for the steering controls you need another module for that..I think pioneer do them?? They cost a bit..if you search the forums I think there has been threads on them..in my opinion I wouldn't bother with the steering wheel controls mate...

    Hey mate,
    That unit should fit with a double din fascia kit. To get the steering wheel controls to work is fairly expensive..

    Hi,

    I have a VX 2002 and fitted a JVC 736NAV into it. So yes, it should fit. my JVC is 160x100x180 standard double Din size.
    For the steering wheel controls to work, you will have to get a Wire SW controller from these guys

    no facia kit is required for double din in a VT/VX. I have a double din 7" screed in my VT and the little trim that clips onto the player is perfect.

    CAR: VT Commodore Sedan audio car - SOURCE: 7" double DIN DVD/GPS - AMP: Pioneer monoblock / Pioneer 4 ch. - SUB: Kenwood DB+ 12" in 22lt slot ported box - REARS: Kicker RS60.2 splits - FRONTS: Kenwood KFC-S702P splits - MISC: Custom fiberglass iPhone4 dock moulded in center console, White / red LED cluster and dash lighting, SAAS Vortex drivers seat
