Default VT and Alpine CDE-126 BTi

    Hi,

I have a few questions about wiring in the above mentioned head unit into a VT Berlina (Series II).

On the Alpine connection, would the Power antenna lead (Blue) be connected to antenna up or antenna down on the car?

With the Orange lead on the Alpine plug (Dimmer), would that be connected to Illumination or Illumination output in the car?

The head unit has been wired in and working for a few months, but i've noticed that if i change to CD or Aux input the antenna doesn't drop, is that because of wiring or is it a limitation of the head unit? Also, i have no control over the dash illumination, it's constantly at the brightest setting.

    Any help would be awesome,
    Cheers,
    Tim

Dimmer?? Are you talking about when you turn on the lights on your car the lights on the head unit should light up? If so just connect it to something like your light switch when u turn iT once

I worked out the problem with the dimmer, turned out to be a setting on the head unit.

The antenna goes up and down when i turn the head unit on or off, but doesn't drop when i change between inputs
