Fitting head unit controls to Series 1 VT steering wheel

Hi people, im wanting to fit the control switches from a VX to my series 1 VT steering wheel. Im then planning to use an Aerpro adaptor to make them work on my Pioneer head unit. Will there be any wiring in the steering column that i can use or will i have to wire it from scratch?
Any help greatly appreciated...

I'm pretty sure it goes through the horn wiring through the clock spring (atleast that's how the vs is)

Cool, looks like i might have to do some pulling apart and looking for existing wires. Being a gts im hoping that even though it didnt have the controls there it may still have the wiring. Thanks mate
