    Default Microphone for aftermarket stereo

Hey guys, I'm about to install a JVC headunit with Bluetooth in my 2005 SV6 and it comes with an external microphone. I was just wondering what the best place would be and where people have put they're mic. when they have installed a aftermarket bluetooth stereo.

    Cheers

I haven't ever done this myself, though in VY/VZ I have seen a lot of people run the wire up the A pillar and have the mic poking out of the A pillar at the top of the windscreen if that makes sense.

Oh and get double sided tape from a hardware shop or something. The tape provided is crap. I made the mistake of not realising when I first started doing installs. Queue customer rage when it falls.

I had mine behind the steering wheel and and in front of the cluster , as its in straight line of my voice and also the Kenwood manual recommends it there. Never had any trouble.
