    Default Speaker Pop

I installed my amp a Boston Gt-28 into my car and have had an issue with a speaker popping when i turn the car on.
It only pops once and only occurs when i turn the car on. It stsrted popping when i put my new amp in. I just got installed new fdront speakers and i dont want them to be damaged by this popping.

Connected through the head unit to an amp. I had no popping until i connected the new amp. I previously had a different 2 channel amp connected for the speakers but upgraded to a new one

RCA leads? are you using the same ones?? mayb one is damaged and as the amp is turned on there might be a sudden signal jump and the damaged rca is causing a spike/interfearence and the speaker components just react to it with a "pop" sound? not sure but just thinking outside the box here.

try switching the rca leads at you amp and head unit (dont re run then, just put then in the opposite terminal eg, left speaker rca into right speaker rca input) and see if the poping changes to a different speaker. if it does then you can problem solve which rca lead is buggered and just run a new one. if the poping continues in the same speaker then most probably the speaker is damaged?

ooor, one of you amp ch's maybe faulty on start up??

not sure, hope its an easy fix for you.

Ok so i tried different RCA's and still the same problem. I fiddled around with the RCA's on the back of the deck and the popping occured more frequently so im assuming its the RCA's from the deck?

The only thing I think of trying more to determine if your head unit is at daily would be to borrow another head unit and see if you get the same poping our if it fixes it
