hey guys cant seem to get my amp working in my car, ive looked over everything.
the only thing ive changed from the set-up in my old car is that im using the cords you buy from autobahn to connect to the car instead of cutting and re wiring everything.
the head unit is a Kenwood KDC-MP4039, now ive connect to the battery, ground, rca, and the remote battery.
now the two things, the amp is not connected to the subs (but this shouldn't stop it from working?) and the remote battery is wired up right, in the back of the head unit, because on the cords i brought from autobahn there was a loose blue cord that i connected that up to..but i dont want to start cutting wires to get it working if im not sure.
i hope this small novel makes sense, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have u got bare metal under the ground wire? If not jus scrape it bak to bare metal wit a flathead n should work. Had dis problem before
more details man - is it powering up at all, or going into protect?
if protect, as above check your ground.
if its not powering up and it was working before wiring error - im not clear how you have wired the remote - maybe test with a multi to make sure its wired up right

ok more details, i will check the ground to be on bare metal, also with the remote wire.
i have a wire harness and its wired up to the loose wire on the back on the harness, was the only wire there.

help me help you brosef! does it p
Make sure you are using the P cont (blue/white wire) out of the kenwood plug. to connect to your remote if its connected to the solid blue this will only work if source is radio - check by switching your source to radio and checking the amp.
dont be afraid to tap in to p cont

grab yourself a multimeter and check between 12v and ground at the amp if you dont have 12V check between the 12v terminal and somewhere else that is bare metal if you have 12v there then its your earth, if thats ok move onto the remote wire and check between it and ground with the source set to CD, if there is no voltage then change the source to radio if you get no voltage still then this may be the source of your problem...
you can put a jumper wire from the 12v terminal to the remote terminal and that will prove if your amp is working or not.
Have you tried taking the amp out and hooking it straight to the battery to prove it actually works out of the car?
hey guys ground wire wasn't touching bare metal, got a flat head and scraped a bit if paint away and working fine now, thank you to everyone for you help.
