Hi guys - first post here...
I bought a portable dvd player a few weeks ago to temporarily keep the kids entertained, but have a problem when using the car charger with it...
When I connect the audio through the stock head unit, AND connect the car charger to the dvd player i get a high pitched squeal through the speakers, and it seems to change pitch with the change in revs.
Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this problem??? We had a hire car over the weekend and didn't have this problem with the hire car - so its not the dvd player...
Cheers!!
Sounds like alternator interference. The wire to the cigarete lighter probably runs too close to the alternator. Try moving it further away from the alternator & see if that helps.

I get the same thing with my iPhone. I just charge it before taking it in the car if I want to listen to music. The stock head unit doesn't seem to like connecting to an audio source that's connected to the cigarette lighter plug. I don't know of a proper fix![]()
