Hey guys just a couple of questions.
I just got a vz ute and the person who had it before me must of had an amp in it. It has a stock head deck but has a power and ground wire under the passenger seat, no sign of the rcas but if they were there how are they re connected?
And
fusion 6"s in the doors should be alright with wiring etc? (Im a plant mechanic not an electrician haha)
Thanks again
sorry officer..thought you wanted to race.
I would say that most likely the previous owner removed what ever head unit was in there and put the stock one back in. They would have taken the amp out, and just left the power cable because it was run in a ute, so it was probably a very short run so not suitable for their next car.
The speakers that are in the doors were probably something thay had laying around when they tossed the factories in the original upgrade. If that's the case then it looks like they've just ensured the radio is working, before selling the car. I've done the same.
If it's all working then i'd just leave it as it is, unless your going to sink some decent money into it. Even a cheap line out convertor and an amp would cost more than the speakers are worth it just wouldn't be worth your time or money.
My opinion....
yeah cheers for the help guys! much appreciated.
