    Question new HU wireing help

OK I got myself a new toy and i cant wait to install it into my baby (VY), however when i pulled out the wiring ISO for this thing it had more wires on it then the local informant.

now i know i may ask really stupid questions, but i want to get this right so i rather ask something something stupid rather then do something stupid.

quickly i might add that the link below is the user manual that i got with my headunit its a pioneer (AVH-P3350BT)
and if you want to jump to the wire diagram its on page 82

    USER MANUAL

ok so the speaker wires im happy with, most wires im happy with, however,

ones i want to make sure

    yellow (hu, "constant 12v supply") = orange/white?

orange/white (hu, "connect to lighting switch terminal") = brown/white?

red (hu, "connect to the terminal controlled by the ignition switch") = Yellow?

Violet/white (hu, "of the two lead wires connected to the back lamp, connect the one in which the voltage changes when the gear shift is put into reverse (R) position. this connection allows the unit to know weather the car is moving forward or backwards").... WTF do i do with this one? but i do want to get a reverse camera soonish for it too so wanna connect it

yellow/black (hu, "mute function") = yellow/black in the car?

light green (hu, used to detect the ON/OFF of hand brake, essentially it detect is the cars parked before you can watch DVDs/movies etc.) how can i bypass it so dvds can be played while i am driving? (for kids/missus etc)

also what controls my antenna going up and down?

hope this all makes sense, sure it wont but thank you in advance for all help to hopefully come

if you still have the original Blaupunkt Head Unit, there is a diagram on there of which wire is what, usually the universal wiring harness does the job

    VK-VZ Stereo wiring colours.

Check on here mate, should all be there.

Only problem I have found, is the antenna remote wire. Connect the Antenna remote from the headunit (if your H/U has one) to the yellow wire with red trace. Just to be sure

Blue / white trace on H/U
    to
Yellow / red trace on in car

    Good luck mate!

@ nic, Ive been told by the place i got the HU from that the iso adapters don't work with this one, you have to hard wire it.

@ sweefu, yea that was the page i was going off, just was unsure of what ones to use, however reading it again, slowly, iva answered a few of my questions, yet still some remain... ... just a question, i want to use an amp as well (in fact two), can i run both the amp control and antenna relay control off it? also does the antenna run over 300mA 12v DC? (means nothing to me, however the manual notes that its the max it can handle with the blue control wire.

For amplifiers, your headunit has a dedicated remote wire (solid blue) where as the antenna remote should only have power going through it while the HU is set to radio. Use the amp remote for your amps, just daisy chain them, this is fine for two amps.

Not sure about the power consumption of the antenna remote, chances are it would be fine though, its a pretty standard thing.

You don't need to hard wire... Aerpro make a loom that has Pioneer colours and a OEM connector so you join the wires on the Pioneer supplied loom to the wires on the Aerpro loom, then just plug and play. You'll have a spare green handbrake wire and maybe another but they need to be wired separately anyway.
