VE SS Thunder Ute - Sub install rear, left and right side

Hi guys,

I know there are a few threads going on about subs for the VE series 2, but i just have one simple question in regards to install.

On the SSV there are 2 factory 8" subs behind the seats on the left and right sides, on the SS Thunder they are blanked off. Would the hole to install them still be there or do I have to cut new holes in the SS? My car is currently being made so i'm just trying to gather some info for my audio install.

Surely someone from Holden would be able to tell you?

Otherwise assuming they all use the same shell / body, then you'd think that the holes would still be there, possibly with a spot welded cover like previous Holden models.

I'd still give Holden a ring though.

I agree with HCVP .. I'd imagine it would be like the 6x9" holes in the parcel shelf of VT-VZ Commodores, just tack welded covers in place.
