Crackling

Hi guys, tried a search but no help there. Anyone know what could casuse a crackling sound only when I'm listening to the radio and only when the engine is running? Crackling goes away as soon as the engine is switched off. I've always had crisp radio reception, this has only just started over the last few weeks... I've recplaced the auto antenna but it was doing it with the old one too.

Not running an amp.

Fuses all good, I recently rewired the speakers but all connections are fine, soldered and taped up. I could recheck the antenna but I'm sure it is connected ok. I just pulled the deck out before and all the connections looked ok still, earth, battery etc... got me stumped, but then again I don't know a great deal about audio setups.

And was everything working properly before you replaced the antenna? Or did it start after the new antenna?

I had started to hear a bit of static before, it is more audible since I put in the replacement antenna.

Still got this crackling static noise, does this happen to anyone else? Spoken to a few other people in sydney who have had this start to happen in their cars, its reallf f***ing annoying!

Unplug, wd40 & replug every electrical socket in your car including the spark leads.
