Default Some advice with my VY Ute please

    Gday all

I'm after some opinions and advice for this newbie

    Im over my stock sytstem...

I have my eye on a couple things as of now such as,

Morel Dotech Ovation morel dotech's for the splits

Alpine Electronics of Australia PDX-F4 as a 4 channel amp (leaves a small footprint and has great reviews)

Now a couple of questions as Im a bit rusty when it comes to all this

1- The splits and amp match pretty ok?

2- Im wanting to put in a 10" sub so if I bridge channel 3 and 4 this should be sufficient? Whats the go there? buy a monoblock? i dont really like the idea of 2 amps in my SS. Need room for the box of donuts.

3- Ideas on any 10" subs? I havent even started looking.. price i guess would be a few hundred give or take..

    I appreciate the feedback!

    Cheers

    1 - Yep

2 - Bridge the rear channels, will be plenty for a ute.

3 - Are you looking for something slim-ish? Consider Polk MM?

Out of interest, how much are those splits costing? They are awesome, love them a lot.

About 400-450 online from the US

Morel are from Israel (as you would probably know) and on Ebay they're between 300-350 delivery from Israel.. I was concerned about fakes, but morel come with a clear card thingy that you hold over the back of the speaker to show its genuine. So i might just bite the bullet and go this route..

Yea I guess Im after a slimmer one.. Thanks i will check out that polk

    Thanks Mate

No worries mate. I run the Polk MM 10" in my car (VY Sedan) to try save on boot space. Also, i'll be able to sell Morel in about 4 weeks haha! Those are some awesome sounding speakers you've chosen mate, the R&D which has gone into the Dotech's is amazing.

Small sealed box works well, mine are in 1cu.ft sealed each, but would have similar volume / freq. response in a 0.8cu.ft box. You could look at the 'active' underseat subs such as the Focal Bus25, then have your 4 channel bridged to send plenty of clean power to your front stage. The RRP of the Dotech6's in Australia is $568, I couldn't say what I could do them at right now, i'm still a few weeks away from that.
