    Cool PA systems...lol..

wow..most of you seem to have systems most bands would kill to have as their stage sound...lol....... I only have a Panasonic cd FM/AM radio I got from supercheap, for $169.95....... with 2 X 6 1/2 in speakers...... when installing it, I found that the unit was a 4-way( always helps to read the box!! )...........so I patched in the front dash 4 1/2 speakers as well..... ..being an ex coppers car, the dash speakers never got used, so they are in pretty good nick....so the 6 1/2 jobbies went into the rear parcel shelf.......... and I have to keep the front/rear fade well over to the rear, because the 4 1/2 speakers are louder than the 6 1/2 ones!!!!!and that legend, Garth, emailed me all the instructions to do it, as well as the wiring diagram!!!me missus hates it....unless it s playing one of her cds..( rod stewart , floyd, manfred mann uriah heep.etc).....where-as I prefer the King, Frank Zappa.....barnsie....thorogood....inxs( all of whom I jahave worked for, and met)..and lots of other heavier stuff than she likes....

The 6550 Pioneer deck or higher would be best as they have 3 sets or RCA pre outs on the back and have alot of sub controls/low/high pass filters and so on! also ya dont need the run 6x9s in the rear shelf with an amp.. run them from your deck as rear fill only you dont want them overpowering your front splits and sub!

I have: Pioneer 7650 OEL display deck
    Pioneer 350W 4 way 6 x 9's in rear shelf
Kicker 6.5" splits 180w in door pods and tweeters mounted on A-pillar
all this powered by a kenwood 4 channel 640w amp

Subwoofer to come (is on order) kicker solo baric (square) 12" in original kicker sub box with original kicker grille designed to spread sound waves more evenly so you get a bigger hit. This baby runs at 750wrms and is going to be powered by a kicker 600wrms monobloc amp with a digital bass controller in the cabin for that much needed quick turn down when the cops drive past.

please tell me what you think!!! as I am interested in feedback!!!

Just got my car a few days ago but this is what i ripped out of my 88 Camry:

    1. JVC KD-LHX505 Head unit
    2. Alpine 6 1/2" Type-R splits
    3. Alpine MRP-T220 2-Ch amp
    4. Alpine 12" Type-S Sub
    5. Alpine MRD-M501 Monoblock amp (good for 573w RMS @ 2Ohms)

    Next
    1. Yet to decide on rear speakers.
    2. Get rid of the Sub in favour of a 12" Type-R
    3. Full boot install including new sub

BTW. Anyone know if the VS Acclaim's have a crossover for the standard front splits?
