    Default Another Remote wire?

    Howdy guys,
    after reading this thread:
    Regards to location of LOC

Obviously it is better to fit the LOC directly off of the lines that do the rear speakers and tap into them actually physically at the rear of the car, so the RCA leads don't have to travel as far, therefore less interference..

So I was thinking, it will then be a lot of work to pull apart dash just to install a remote wire if I no longer should be placing the LOC behind the HU... (or did i totally miss understand the above thread??)

Is there a different location I can attach the remote wire from my stock HU to an aftermarket amp.. or possibly tap into a different output under the dash..? or my rear cigerete lighter as I do not smoke..?

    Any thoughts....

I'm eventually doing this in my VE. I was going to run new speaker cable from the head unit to the boot for a loc or straight into a high input amp. You will still need to run a remote wire back to the dash somewhere though. There is some amps on the market that have speaker level input and signal sensing turn on which means you don't need the remote wire. I think any accessories wire is fine.

The reason I am running new speaker wire means I can go back to the existing stock setup if need be.
