    Default Would you buy this?

My car already had the plug for an after market head unit (the fella at autobarn told me it was JVC)

So on that note, would you buy this head unit? - Newcastle Pro Sound - JVC KW-XR616 | Newcastle Pro Sound

Plus any comments from anyone who has this unit or owns JVC related products..

it has the interchangable colours haha you can pretty much pick any colour you can think of

@OP it seems like a good H/U for the money and are you after the features like Ipod etc? but basically it comes down to if you like it, your the one who has to enjoy it so go with what you like mate

Thats true buddy, I always presumed they wouldn't be that good, as they don't specialise in car audio, but I want a 2-Din and this seemed like a suitable option.

Have used a few JVCs, always been pretty happy with them. I have a feeling there may be a model up from this with Bluetooth etc?

If you don't want to go for a Kenwood for some reason i have a Pioneer FH-P6050UB.
About the same price as the Kenwood and I'm really happy with it. Has a lot of options etc, also has usb and aux.
    Plus looks pretty good too.

JVC make great head units, that's about it but the head units are some of the best at very good prices
Cheap, fast, reliable.....you only get to choose two.

Only issue I have with it is that it is a bit laggy with iPod connectivity (track changes etc.). Steering wheel controls also seems laggy. Other than that, great little unit.
