I got in the car today mid arvo and it had a sound coming from the speakers that sounds like when your on radio and there is no signal but very quite then when the car revs up there is a whistle but if the i hit the brakes the whistle stops for for a second them comes back. It all goes away when the head unit and power to all amps is turned off by the button on the head unit. It was raining today so i dont no if water could have got into anything. Could i please get some help with this???
Is the power wire run next to the RCA wires? Is(are) the earth(s) sanded back to bare metal?

As above, interference from power wires and RCA cables run together or a bad earth as a result of poor preparation or placement.
Solution/s (depending on which installation issue it is you're facing):
Run RCA cables down the opposite of the car to the power cables.
Re-do the ground on a piece of metal that has been well sanded back (to get rid of resistance due to paint).
Sorry to sound stupid but what are RCA cables and i got the install done at a shop where would the earth be? The stereo has been in for about 6 months y would something start now?
If the install was done at a shop, it *should* all be ok .. Which shop? If you've paid a professional to install the stereo, I would take it back to them.

Take it back to the shop then. We can't help if you don't know what an RCA is.

Glad you realise that Nic, perhaps you should ask yourself that before you post that next time?
My advice is that you don't go playing around with anything. If you go playing around with things, especially with the battery connected and so forth, you may wind up with much more than some interference noise.
As above, take it to a shop, or where yo had the install done.
Maybe someone snuck a turbo under your engine bay :P
Ok taking it to Alberts on the weekend.
Got subs put in on the weekend so i got the noise looked at and they said it is a bad connection in the amp so it needs to be sent away. (Not happy)
Seems a bit odd that the power stage of the amp was still working but that they want to send it away. Where is the bad connection? I'd have a thought they be able to fix what ever the connection issue is. Unless the amp is under warranty and doing anything to it would void it.
Where do they have to send it off to? It might pay to find out the list of service agents, sometimes there's one nearby by.
They said the RCA cable into the amp for the speakers has a bad connection. The people sound stream tell you to send it to is in Perth so that's good for me. also i hit a bump in the road the other day and all the deck lights went off so there has to be a bad connection somewhere.
