Old school Alpine MRV range-opinions?

Gday, I am just starting off a new audio setup in my vy commy and am really low for cash so considering chucking in an old alpine v12 amp for kicks.
I want to use it to run my front splits, its the mrv-t300 amplifier. Anybody know of it and have any experience with it? Dont know whether or not to bother keeping it...

Depends on the speakers... It's (under)rated at 30Wrms x 2, so for efficient speakers it'd be fine.

Ahhk yeah I only want to use an amplifier that just sounds crisp and clean, keeping away from the old school headunit.
So you think I should just get semi decent splits or...?

Information like what sort of a budget you have and so on makes this a lot easier.
