Just wanting to know from those who actually know at what volume does the signal coming out of the ve head unit begin to clip?
Gathering info so I can tune the amp gains to it correctly when I install it...
There will not be a definite number, too many variables.

Read that short guide to tuning and all your questions will be answered, you will be able to set your gains correctly.

Yeah I know how to do it, was just trying to be lazy and get a rough volume setting to work off :P
Cheers anyway though mate!
No way to know... Test tones will clip at low volumes... Loud recordings will clip at low volumes... Quiet recordings will clip at high volumes... My speakers sound average on radio once I get to around 22, but that's the speakers, not the head unit so I couldn't tell you either
Get your music, go turn the volume knob and take note!
Hey stone happen to know if anyone is working on RCA outputs for the ve like they did in the vy??
Someone in the VE section got it done by Phreddy or whatever his name is. He's a sponsor of this forum.
Cheers mate will check it out!
I've had my series 2 modified and he is an expert at the series 1
