Standard Radio swap

hey forum.
iv just purchased a VY six disc radio, it a standard unit from a series one ss... going into my series one standard ute.
are there any problems with this?
secondly is there any one in perth who can crack the pin code on these units or by pass them..
holden said it would be 260$ to go back through records.. i have a VIN number but when i tried the unit in my car the radio code i was give didnt work.
idea any one?

there will b no probllems after u find out the correct code 4 it.

have u tried ringing a few holden dealers in perth coz they all do vary in their pricing most times.

tried shacks holden, i recall scan tool being able to get the codes if you put the radio in and then run the scanner over it?
non-stick i would love to use that soft wear but im not paying to have just one radio done.

I believe people will be hesitant to tell you how to crack the code, as it is a matter of security etc.
You really should know what the code is, the manuals come with little blue Blaupunkt cards with the pin on them.

iv got A code but its not THE code... being to holden and they tell me that THE code I have is the CORRECT code but its not working in my ute....

Try putting it in a mates car if u know some1 who has the same model (mayb try a sedan tho but shouldnt matter) and see if it does the same, otherwise u could try powering it up on the bench using that code if it doesnt work then i doubt its the right code.

wiring diagrams is on the unit 2 get it working on the bench.
