Well your head deck turns on when ACC is on.
So either use a multi-meter or test light to test what wire gives power when ACC is switched on.
Also make sure the wire has power when the car is running.
You could tap into the IGN barrel but you would need to run the wire from there to the amp.

Mate, I have a series 2 and I connected it to the plug that is behind the glovebox to the left side. There is a brown wire in the back of that. This is usually an unused plug.

I have a vz sv6 and i took the remote off the back of the cigarette lighter in the back of the center console. Two screws to pull the back of the centre console out and then i just tapped into the brown wire going to the cigarette lighter. The hard part i found was getting the wire under the carpet. It is molded to the floor on the drive shaft hump big time and is a little bit of a bitch. But beats having to run a wire to the ignition!.

That plug that you found is used for incar mobile phone handsfree kit.

This plug contains, acc, constant (+), earth, telephone mute and connection to enable the handsfree kit to utilise the cars factory speakers for the sound from the phone to come back through.

    Cheers
