Default VP Sedan Custom Boot Ideas/Questions (Dual Fuel)

Hello, I'm curious to know whether anyone has done a custom boot install on a VN-VS sedan with a gas tank in the boot? (I'm sure someone has..)

I currently have a kicker setup consisting of a Kicker 2ch amp and 4ch amp, as well as 2 12" Kicker competition subs in a kicker box, as most of you would know having this and the gas tank in the boot doesn't leave much space at all, and restricts the spare wheel from being taken out.

I'm thinking about doing a custom install with the subs/amps mounted to a false wall as far back as possible (without the use of a box), is is illegal to completely cover access to the gas tank?

Any ideas/information would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not very sure about gas setups, but isn't here an emergency cut off switch or something? That needs to be accessible. Also, your subs need a box.

OP doesn't know how to search obviously. Might be from 2009 but it's still relevant.

Yeah I figured my subs would need an enclosed box, it's possible to build a board around the cut off switch though, so that isn't a problem.

Thanks again for another useless post wraith, but I'm actually after a VP custom boot setup, not a VT.

Being a know-it-all yourself, you would know the boot layouts are quite different.

Contact this seller and organize a shipment of a left and right side boxes.

If the kicker subs are square, #### them off and go with another option, don't be a brand fan boi.
Build an amp rack around the gas tank, making sure that the emergency cut off is accessible.

You still get ideas from it. If you're going to be aggressive then we don't want you here. Have an open mind and be willing to take advice, rather than having your mind made up already.

Are you retarded. OK save you reading I will spell it out. You can have a custom boot install. Everything bar the access panel for the gas tank can be covered.

Where do the left hand boxes sit? No I don't have the square subs.

I'm very open-minded but have no time for smart asses like wraith, I appreciate all the help I get from this site.

I read the entire thread, I'm aware I can have a custom boot install thanks.

The purpose of this thread was so that I could see other user's custom boot setups with gas tanks.

    Now, back to business..

What's the best materials to use for a setup like this? MDF? Fibreglass? What differences in sound will there be?

I assume they sit in the same spot on the left hand side..

Use MDF, unless you want to really save space and get into tight spots.

The spare wheel is on the left hand side though? Unless they only make the left sides for VT upwards..

Looks like MDF it is then, thanks for your help mate.
