Default Alpine V12 MRV-F345 keeps over heating / shutting off.

Hey guys, im really getting sick of this amp. I have a Alpine V12 MRV-F345 that doesnt like big bass notes after awhile. Itll just shut off. So i have to turn the head unit off for 30secs then turn it back on, then its all good again, but then i have to turn it down abit. When i first noticed this i suck a computer fan ontop of it, the amp lasted longer then before. But im still not happy a few months down the track. Im now up to bolting a thermo to it. What do you guys think. I cant afford another amp..

Its mounted in the boot. Just gave it a good blasting before when i went for a drive. Thermo helped alot. Was able to turn the base up on the head unit one more notch and it was good and strong. When up 2, i think it make be a current draw problem. Im only using 8g wiring. However, as stated i could get it louder with the themro.

Where in the boot? Is there sufficient air flow around it? Is it mounted upside down?

Are you sure it is over heating rather than going into protect due to a lack of current?

Its the drivers side, on the floor, towards the bumper. Plenty of air, especially with a thermo fan ontop.. Its mounted up right. I suspected heating due to it making its way up to 56degress. However, now that it cuts out with the thermo on, could mean the lack of power.

Probably running too much load for it , maybe post up the specs of the speakers you're running, how they're wired and the specs of the sub and someone who knows more than me can help you out
