    Red face Installing an AMPLIFIER 2011 VE SV6

    Hey guys kinda new to this site. Been looking for hours on how to install an amp in my VE SV6 series 2. Can someone please share a link which has step by step instructions on how to remove the dash console and install the amp.

    Ive got the factory holden IQ head unit,

    Any information will be much appreciated,

    Hi mate, I just finished doing this in my series 2. Installed 2 kenwood amps (1 to run the front spilts and a mono to run the amp). I mounted the amps behind the rear seats mounting them on some plywood which was screwed into the metal behind the seats.

    I also had the RCA mod done by ASR Audio which gives you RCA plugs to connect your amp to and gives a much better sound quality. I used the brown wire which is behind and to the left of the glovebox (it's in an unused white plug) for the remote turn on. Greg from ASR does create a remote wire but I was having turn off issues with using this.

    Other than all that everything else is pretty easy.

    hey mate just got my ve ute and have spent the coin on good speakers, i bought loc's for the amps ilhave running the speakers n sub, im in the process of installing everything now, i see you had someon hardwire the rcas into the back of the head unit, is there anyone in frankston area that does this? or anywhere in victoria reasonably close to the peninsula, i see everyone says talk tophreddy but hes in sydney yeah?
