Default Sub location in VT commodore

    Hey everyone,

this may be a noob question... but was just wondering where the best place is the a sub to sit in the boot, like which way etc... also is it better with the middle seat down or up?

    Thanks everyone

for a vt or many other commodores ive found the best way to mount them is behind the backseats with the seat down subs facing you. gives you a better sound than if you mount them in the corners of the boot which is space saving yes but you sacrifice a decent sound so I recommend behind the seat.
what setup are you going to run?

Really comes down to personal preference as far as which is the best way to face subs. How many subs are you looking at putting in the boot? If its only one and the box is not very big.. then you could try facing it forwards with the seat down and see how it sounds.. then take the same approach but turn the box around so it faces the back of the boot and try it.

From my experience subs will always sound better facing backwards as the sound from the sub 'Loads' off the back of the car before coming back to meet you in the front seat.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

    Hi Rhys,

Yes face the sub to the boot so when you open the boot you can see the sub. As I said it all comes down to personal preference. Some ppl like it that way and some ppl dont.
Oh and before you crank it up make sure the boot is properly closed.

    Cheers
