Hello everyone, today i purchased a second hand 600W pioneer amp and was told by the seller that it wasnt working properly. He said it powers up but has no sound once wired up to a sub or speakers. He wanted $10 for it so i thought why not buy it and see if i can fix the problem myself. I disconnected my current kenwood 500w amp and wired up the pioneer but turns out the guy was right from the start. Powers up,blue light, but no sound from any speakers... BUT i hear a constant beep like sound... i opened up the amp, checked the fuses also,i cant spot any problems :S
i have uploaded a video of the problem here so you guys can get a better idea of what is going on. hopefully i can get this up and running with some help from anyone on this forum. thanks in advance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELK5kb0hzzw

Is the power light pulsing?
If not, it's more likely to be blown output transistors (FKP250A ones).
If so, it's more likely to be blown power supply transistors (FKV550N ones).
But sometimes it can be both if it's blown good.
A proper model number would go along way, rather than "second hand 600W pioneer amp".. Surely there's a sticker on the underside or side that lists the model number.
