I was just looking through my local ALDI catalouge and found they are selling head units for $50. I thought someone on here might be interested, or have some feedback on quality.
ALDI - special buys from sat 10 dec - hurry, limited stocks in store*
$50 for a head unit with, let alone one with USB/SD inputs and MP3 capability, seems alright. I guess the quality is the big unknown.
Is this the first time ALDI have have had a head unit on sale before, or have they had the before-if they did, what were they like? Should I be kicking myself for buying a Clarion head unit a few months back for $90, or glad I didn't waste my money on something that will only ever be trouble?
The fact it's $50 and at Aldi should tell you how much quality is involved.
Actually I have bought some Aldi stuff before, stuff like the Tauras line of power tools, and the like, all still going strong.
Anyway, its $50 and likely has a 1 year warranty, so who cares if it breaks later. Good luck wiring it though, no adaptors, will have to be done by hand.
This looks like a better excuse to spend $50 though, ALDI - special buys from sat 10 dec - hurry, limited stocks in store*

I'll admit it's cheap enough if you were just after something that does the job.

Holy shit, I wouldn't knock that stereo, it's at least 10 years ahead of the pathetic excuse of a stereo Holden fitted to the VE.

Just remember LG use to be gold star ...... A lot of companies release products under a different brand name just to test out the quality before they put an alpine brand on it or blaupunkt
