vy with 'cd error' aargh!

Hi all, this is my first post, Great forum.
My VY is ok but the stacker is giving me grief. at first it would play anything now it freaks out at random and refuses to play even brand new cd's.
i'm thinking of removing the whole unit and looking inside, seems like it doesn't know a disc is there, maybe lightly blowing air through it etc.. what is the standard fix for these things? are they just temperamental? do I toss it over the left shoulder...Once I remove it will I need the PIN when I put it back in?

If u remove it no u wont need the pin number ur cars computer always remembers the pin of that unit. there is a way of resseting the unit i think uve just gotta hold down the on/off button 4 a bit, i'll see if i can find the thread 2 see if that helps

hey thanks ..884, I might have a crack at it today. Ive got a road trip to Adelaide next week and I'd hate to lose all audio completely!
