Hi everyone,
Looking at swapping my standard head unit over again soon, and it came to my attention the last time i had a double din touchscreen in my WK, that i could no longer set the time/date displayed on the LCD screen on the dash (with the climate control etc). Ended up putting the stock unit back in as it worked with the factory amp and 8" rear subs.
However, over the next week im doing a heap of work to my barge, including installing an Eclipse AVN726E head unit. To get to the point, was wondering if anyone knows where i could get a wiring diagram to suit the premium Blaupunkt unit so i can remote mount it in the boot connecting only the power and required wiring so i can still set the time and date.
Seems like more effort than its worth, but the amount of times i had people point out to me that the time was wrong was just ridiculous. Plus already running a massive amount of wiring and bigger airlines on both side to the rear, so rather do it now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
From memory from when I pulled mine out, I think it is all on a sticker on the top of the unit.
Let me know how you go with this, if you get it working I would be interested in doing the same, as you mentioned, I lost the ability to change my date/time when I installed my Alpine unit.
I would try yo email blaupunkt and ask for the diagram.
This is the diagram on mine. I would assume of you connect the top and bottom plugs it will work. You won't need speakers (middle plug).
If your after trial and error start cutting wires til it doesn't work.
I suspect you might get away with just some of the bottom plug. Constant, ground, ignition and uart (serial data communication).
