New speaker clicking

Hey all,

I'm currently overhauling the stereo in my VE Omega and had a little problem after i installed a set of Sony Xplod XSGTX1621S, anyhow when i tested them one of the speakers was making a clicking noise. this would happen in the highs and lows and at any volume. Does this mean the speaker is stuffed? or could it be a wiring problem?

get yourself a multimeter and set it to ohms and put the red prong to the positive speaker terminal and the black prong to the negative. if the reading is 0 or infinity its ####ed! if its above 0 then its not the speaker and youll have to check your wiring all the way back to the headdeck for a short.

OH make sure your multimeter works first too by touching the prongs together and hopefully getting a 0.5 or something reading lol
