Default Upgrading some of the stock system in WL GRANGE?

    Hi all.

Recently stepped out of my VT into a Wl hsv Grange. and as imagined the stereo wiring for the factory system is far from simplistic. And to make matters worse I have been unable to find out pretty well anything about the grange online, I spose most people who by a grange dont mess with it haha but im 20 and want subs in mine!!

Cutting to the point. If anyone has wiring diagram for 2005 Grange or has any ideas where the factory amplifier is located that would be a big help.

as of now the front split and rear subs have been replaced with Focal k2 splits and Focal polyglass 6x9s. as for the rear doors and rear roof speakers not sure what to do just not. But keen for a mono and subs in the boot for the extra bit of beef in the sound. Any help would be appreciated.

I think in terms of wiring and factory fit out the Caprice is similar to the Grange.

if the grange is anything like the VZ calais, There is a sticker on the head unit telling you the pin assignments for the plug on the back.

The factory amp is in the boot on the passenger side, if you peel the carpet back its a little black box held in place with a couple of screws.

I think you'll find it a lot easier to lay your own wiring, and just leave the stock wiring as is. Pull your headunit out and do some investigating. I would probably suggest you go for an aftermarket headunit too. The best way to get a wiring diagram is to pull it apart and find out for yourself. In saying that, I would just lay my own wiring and be done with it.

Not quite sure what else you want to hear?
