2pairs of splits in vr

Hi all, I want to run 2 pairs of splits in the front doors of my vr, one pair in the factory locations but not sure where and how to mount the second pair. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I do this?

Can't help you too much with your mounting question, but maybe I could get you to reconsider installing 2 pairs of splits?

If the brand of splits you are looking at are Pioneer, Alpine or any of the other popular brands, I would strongly recommend that you use the money you would spend on 4 splits and buy a single pair of higher quality ones. They'll sound far superior and when amped correctly probably sound louder as well. I'm sure the other guys here will back me up when I say that adding extra speakers is not a huge boost in sound level. Having a superior driver is always better.

Personally I like Focal, but they are more SQ than SPL, so the others like sweefu and MAG00 might be able to suggest a better brand to look at; possibly Morel or Polk.

I would head down to your local professional installer (NOT Jb Hi-Fi, Strathfield, etc) and ask them about your best options for a quality set of 6.5" splits.

I totally agree with you however I already have the speakers from my previous car. The plan is to upgrade the splits when I can afford to, im fairly happy with the quality if the rest of the system.
