    Hey mate,

    In these situations the first and foremost problem is often wiring. Since you've indicate that is likely, double check that first.

    This *should* be the VN wiring (I don't have a VN myself).

    Orange = constant 12V
    yellow = accessories
    Black = earth (or use the metal chassis)
    Brown/white = illumination
    yellow/red = elec aerial
    dark green(-) & light green(+) = front right
    tan(+) & grey(-) = front left
    dark/black(-) & blue red(+) = rear right
    brown/black(+) & yellow/blue(-) = rear left

    Ensure that this is the case.

    Please also provide more information about the setup. Do you have amps? Have you put in this head unit to replace the stock, or another aftermarket unit?

    Did you install new speakers as well or are you using the stock speakers?

    The more detailed info you can provide, the better.
