Default Adding 2nd sub to VE

    Hey all,

I have a VE SV6 and recently got my stereo done. I have an alpine mrx v60 5 chan amp new speakers in front and rear doors and a 12" alpine type s ( SWS-1243D ) sub.

Now I'm thinking of adding (not 100% sure yet) a 2nd sub and am not sure what to do. I want to keep amps the same brand.

Should I get an M50 and run 1 sub off that and run the other off the 5 chan amp or get the M100 and run both subs off that?

    MRX M50:
    Per Channel, 14.4V, 4 ohms: 300W RMS x 1
    Per Channel, 14.4V, 2 ohms: 500W RMS x 1
    Per Channel, 14.4V, 1 ohms: 300W RMS x 1

    MRX M100:
    Per Channel, 14.4V, 4 ohms: 600W RMS x 1
    Per Channel, 14.4V, 2 ohms: 1000W RMS x 1
    Per Channel, 14.4V, 1 ohms: 500W RMS x 1

And the amp i have now:
    4 x 75W + 1 x 300W (2ohms)
    4 x 50W + 1 x 200W (4ohms)
    2 x 150W + 1 x 200W (4ohms)

Don't really know much about this stuff yet so any help will be great and no I didn't pay the prices listed on the alpine site :P

I would also say the M100, wire both subs to the M100 @2ohms and then both subs will get a nice healthy 500w RMS each.
Having the subs wired on different model amps would probably sound a little strange...

Wouldn't that be too much for the subs since they are only 300rms each? Would it be better to wire at 4 ohms and they get 300 rms each? Thanks for help so far.

Okay so rather then having a 2nd sub (need the space) I am thinking of getting something better then the one I have now.

I love my bass and the type s isnt doing it for me... I want it to be loud but want some decent sq as well. A mate told me to get a type r but alot of people on here have said you can get much better for the same price. What would you guys recommend?
Looking at the $400 mark give or take for sub and then an amp to suit.
