Hi all,
I've put a deposit on a VY commodore that has the stock radio, the interior looks great and I don't wanna mess it up by installing a custom CD player.
Wiring in a 3.5mm jack sounds pretty expensive from what I've read.
So was thinking of an FM transmitter plugging into my phone and playing it from that. Was just wondering what the quality is like. I've never had experience with FM transmitters before, is the quality the same as though you're listening to any other radio station. Keeping in mind how far the antenna to the glove box area where the phone will be isn't very far.
Anyone had experience with this?
As long as the transmitter doesn't run on batteries it's crystal clear
Ah ok then, I'll order one tomorrow and make sure I get one that plugs into the cigarette lighter
Quality should be good enough for my likings, thanks guys![]()
To be honest, i wouldnt use one. I had one a while ago and it was rubbish sound quality. But if you do get one make sure its a decent brand![]()
I got a Dick Smith branded one that plugs into the lighter socket, it does the job for me and sounds fine.
Have you got an IPhone or other ??
