Hi guys i have a Question,
I have just installed some DLS Up36i 3-way splits into my car and now when the system starts i get a pop through the speakers, previously i have had no system noise what so ever, any thoughts on what may be causing it...

Is the pop when you turn the system on / off or intermittent throughout playing music? Were there any changes at all to amplifiers, power/earth cables, RCA cables?

The noise only happens when you turn the system on and you don't hear it again there were no changes to anything accept the front speakers Amps and power cables not touched, rca are all Stinger.
There is no pop when turned off.
I would look to your amplifier. Does the tweeter/midrange move when it pops? I've almost killed a tweeter from turn on pop with a poor quality amplifier before.

Has any of your amps got RCA outs and are you using them?
My speaker amp does and I have an RCA cord running from it to my sub amp and when I turn the car on my subs go boomp!

I'd look into that, it isn't so bad for a subwoofer but can still be fatal to your speaker.

I know this is the reason mine does it too, because it thas only done it since I wired it up this way.

Amps are both Alpine 1XPDX-F6 and an PDX-M12, the only thing that has changed is the front stage was replaced before this there was no pop on turn on..
- Alpine IVA-W502E head unit (inc bluetooth)
- Alpine PDX-F6 4 Channel Amp 150WRMS x 4
- Alpine PDX-M12 Mono Amp 1200WRMS
- DLS Ultimate UP36i - 3-way, 6,5 inches
- 2 X Phoenix Gold Ti 12's
there is no movment in the tweeter/midrange, the noise is not very loud and it is not coming from the subs.
could it be that the new crossovers are more sensitive than the old?
