yeah, i was going through ebay looking at stuff and came across something like this> 6"-6.5" pair Vinyl Fibreglass Speaker Pods Spacers GREY | eBay

maybe i could get something similar pre made? and then stick them onto the door trim or that wouldnt work?

just looking at other options so it doesnt look ugly when i cut a hole in the door trim lols

I don't think you could make that work at all without looking ridiculously bad.

i just got these in the mail today, worked out cheaper to get a set of 4 with stock speakers than buy elsewhere> eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d

to replace the one i cut up when i have the coaxials in and for spare, so now i can start attaching the cut up one to wood and see how it fits in the door with the trim on

hmm thats wierd, on the pods i got, the speakers has 2 coaxials for the rear and 2 midwoofers for the front, but the ones that came out of my car was all the same, looks like midwoofers.

The stock commodore speakers are just 'full range' 6" speakers, the fronts have tweeters additional with capacitors on the tweeters to cut the low frequencies.
