so before i make new speaker pods, i tried something. i cut some circles out and put them on the factory pods to see if i can fit the speaker that way, but it wouldnt go in because of the window behind, so i cut 3 16mm thick circles and it fitted but it came out to much to fit the door trim, even if i take the factory gill off, the speaker would still hit the door trim, im not sure on what i should do.
i just measured the speaker from ground up and it is 9.5cm
ok so it does fit with 2 circles, just need to see if i can fit it with the door trim on..
According to the website your midwoofer has a mounting depth of 78.4mm, this should be fine with 32mm of MDF as long as the magnet of the speaker is going through the hole in the door so the magnet can poke through

You're right, more like 91 - 92cm mounting depth. You're going to have trouble without trimming the door trim on the inside, can you remove the rubber cover sitting on the magnet? Here is the depth of my speaker pod before fibreglassing (so add a few mm of clearance) and this sits behind the stock door trim, though it sits out a few mm, not noticeable and could be fixed with trimming.

the way i have it, 32mm mdf on the factory pod.. it comes out to about 10-10.5cm, even if i trim the mdf im still going to have problems. so what to do?
and no i cant take off that black thing around the magnet![]()
Looks like more spacers and customs door trims might be your only option.
Or new speakers, whichever.

I'm thinking lower door enclosure like James' Sweefu? May be his only option..
Could do, huge amount of work though, for that much work I'd want a different midwoofer to make it worthwhile. I think you could make it work, you can trim the back of the door trim a fair bit + some creative angles of the midwoofer.

what about, cut a hole out of the door trim, and have just the midwoofer showing? but wouldnt look as good would it?
Nic92, I've seen those speakers somewhere before...
From memory the re-audio's, Below that silver trim ring. In the cone section, It's hollow... It adds 15'ish MM that is not needed.
If these are the same, The guy drilled a hole in the metal cover horizontally, in both side & used a big screwdriver through both holes to pop the cap off.

But that's me
Worste case you could put a little jbweld on the hole u drill...
