question about running 2 amps and what screen do i get to work with a head unit???
hey all... firsty im wanting to run 2 amps, the one thats running my 12inch sub now is a kenwood and my sub is j and l... but i want to run a smaller amp to the 1000watt 6x9s... my question is, do i need to run a second power lead from the battery or can i bridge the 2 amps with another main fuse in between? secondly, when i bought my vt i was cleaning it out and found a jvc dvd player in the seat pocket (model number is kd-dv4506) it does work i had it hooked up but i want to get a screen for it. so im wondering what screen would i need to look for to work on this head unit and what cords/leads, wouldnt mind having a screen in the center of the dash with the head unit and 2 in the head rests? thanks for any advice on this....

What guage is the main power wire at the moment? Made me laugh when you said 1000w 6x9's :P What are they Kingwoods?

On my vr I ran power to one amp then a power wire between the two so one amp had to power wires in the one terminal, worked well for the six months till I sold the car
nah not kingwood... but id say they are cheap shit ones like that.... un sure of gauge... ill get a pic....

Yep Sony Xplod knock offs. Ok so first what I would do is re run 2 or even 0 gauge to the back then to a splitter. Fused splitter or not doesn't really seem to matter but is always good for piece of mind. Then you run a new ground using the same place the other one is. You can borrow the remote wire as it's a piddly 5 volt and bugger all amp. Then run a second set of RCA's off the head unit and done.

It is pretty simple hardest part is pulling the head unit and running the cable. Don't do what the other bloke said and wire two power wires off the one amp. Just asking for trouble.

it'll be pretty much pointless amping those 6x9s.... you'd be better off putting your money towards some new front speakers.

hmmm.... got 4 alpine speakers in the doors (front and rear).... ill just buy some better rears and better subs... know what screen i need to use on that head unit? cheers guys

hahaha already did mate... as soon as you said sony xplode knock offs lol.... the small system i have actually sounds alright without those sh1t boxes haha... cheers for the advice mate
