bout to install 2 pioneer GM-7500m amps 800w each and 2 TSW309D4's subs 1400w each in my vy commodore, just wondering what would be the best gauge power wire to run? , bout how much of it would i need? maybe in the future in also may get a third amp for the speakers which will be replaced from the factory ones, how would i go about wiring these up (rca wise ) and where would be the best place to run the wires ? any help would be good cheers
I would have to say 4gauge? and wiring your amps you can run them under/behind the glovebox, down the foot trim to where ever you want your amp. If your going to run alot of amps, i would get a 1in 4 out capacitor.

I wouldn't bother with the distro block, just buy 2 cheap 4 awg wiring kits. Also as a novice you will find it easier feeding 4 awg through the firewall and around the car.
Run the rca's down one side, and power down the other. I don't see any sense in pulling the seats and carpet out just so you can run cables down the centre...

1 run of 4awg is good for 100 amps , if memory serves me well those apps only have 40 amps of fusing so it's fine for what you're doing.
The 7500 is only good for 400rms each , adding an average 4 channel in the future would still be safe on a 4awg wire with 100 amp ANL fuse.

why not get a single, higher powered amp?
running rca cables is easy (seeing as i have done it 20 odd times)
put the bulk of the cable in the passengers foot well.
remove the glove box (single slide pin in back right corner)
remove your head unit
try to poke the cable up the very back right hand side of the passengers foot well
you are trying to feed it through into the back left of the head unit space
---------------------------------------------------------------------
remove all the t15 torques screws down the left hand kick panel
in the case of sedan remove the back seats (bottom first pull the 2 tabs and lift unbolt the passenger side back piece 1 bolt at the bottom then lift)
feed your rca cable all the way along the kick panels
place your 4 gauge wire(s) in the passengers foot well
lay along your floor head under glove box area
find the rubber bung at the top back left of passengers foot well
run wire(s) through bung
grab from in bonnet
pull through over to your battery (over the engine)
now feed more through as you lift it towards the fire wall, so your cable goes out the hole all the way along your fire wall (you can feed it through the same clips as the wire loom)
run it below the abs and power steering
now put sleaving over around 2 mtrs of the power cable in the foot well
run them down the kick panel and through the same hole in the back seat,
replace back seats and kick panels.
replace glove box.

important
-make sure you run a remote wire with the rca's
-keep the rca cables from kinking
-keep all the cables away from heat,
-many people will get all antsy about running rca's and power together, i was always skeptical but trust me i run 3 rca cables and 2 2 gauge all down the same kick panel, i have never had any
distortion nor interferance
if you have truble feeding the rca up through the dash feed some speaker wire down tape them together then pull it up.
now on suggestions why not run only one amp.

You may also find like I did that standard wiring kits may not be long enough to give you enough leeway to mount your amps in the boot, I only had about 30cm of cable poking into the boot, run a tape measure or a piece of rope to where you want the amps to be to see how much you'll need, Commodores are 4.8m long without taking into account corners that you have to run cables round.
4awg should be fine for that.
I can recommend these kits, brilliant quality and excellent price (even with postage)
