Alpine 9853R H/U Clock

Hi, I have an Alpine 9853R H/U and want to know if it is possible to display the time/clock on the main screen. i can't seem to find it anywhere in the menus. Thanks

Is there a button above the dial that says "title"? If there is, pressing it changes what's being displayed. One of the options is the clock.

I'm not 100% certain, but that's how it is on my 9831, which is pretty similar.

Thanks Jeff T. I went back to the place that installed it and asked. They said something about RDS not being in canberra or something along those lines and that was why it has no clock.

it should still have a clock. Also, when the HU is off, if you presds title it toggles the clock on/off

Ive got the exact same h/u and ive never seen anything about a clock, not that ive been looking...

i ahve the cheapo ebay version, the 9853, and that has a clock. How different are they?

are there two different ones? ive got a 9853R? is that the same as the 9853?

yep, the 9853R has multicolour illumination. Thats about the only difference
