I've found them to be a load of shit personally. Drop a sub in the long range fuel tank cell and do yourself the favour
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!

So you haven't heard one yourself, phat_com? I haven't heard one, so I know to keep my mouth shut

They are alot shallower than a normal sub(TSSW124 = 83mm vs TSW306C = 157mm) and require a 22L box. Most 12's use a 25-40L box, so it still needs a bit of volume. I think you got your information backwards.

putting a sub under the tray next to the fuel tank, if the sub is facing up, wont it rattle the s%*t out of the tray?? and i cant see how the bass in the cabin would be awsome.

I remember my first encounter with a slimline sub. IMO they sound like some kind of muffled distorted fart. I would be ashamed to sell them or work anywhere that sold them.

running one of the slimline subs in a ute is mint. a mate has one and its great. a coupla hundred watt and they give off a real nice thump, then again it will take 1000.

Actually tasmaniak i am planning on buying 2 alpine type r's for my vz ute which have a 800w rms and 1600w peak each mate has them in his vz ute in a kicker comp vt box as it fits well behind seat and it has a shit load of bass and for a slimline it is amazing.

Sell a few slim lines every one loves them. Sound's more like dodgy installs ruining a product then anything else.
